Prima della rivoluzione / Before The Revolution
Directed by Bernardo Bertolucci
1964
Great Moments in Cinema: Observe Vittorio Storaro’s ridic camera work while Adriana Asti and Francesco Barilli dance and share a kiss to Gino Paoli’s “Vivere Ancora”. Maybe I am a hopeless romantic, but tell me that is not some utterly pimp shit right there. I almost want to carry with me a boombox with this song queued up in the event I happen to be outside a balcony in France or Italy and making out with some girl as fireworks are going off and the imaginary movie credits in my head start rolling.
Ed. Note: Bertolucci was only 23 years old when he directed this film. When I was 23, I just graduated art school and signed up for a Tumblr account. MLIA
