I always felt that the repetition and spontaneous sound effects in the REPULSION soundtrack had as much to contribute to the psychological thriller genre as Gilbert Taylor’s cinematography and Polanski’s directing.

In this scene, Catherine Deneuve walks across the Hammersmith Bridge set to Chico Hamilton’s drums which likely influenced Jonny Greenwood’s soundtrack work, or more recently, Andrew Dosunmu’s MOTHER OF GEORGE.
