Probably the campiest Hammer horror movie I’ve ever seen. But in a great way though.

My Stepmother Is An Alien
1989
This is like an even more campier version of Earth Girls Are Easy. Dan Aykroyd and Jon Lovitz as brothers, Alyson Hannigan, Seth Green, and Juliette Lewis in their tweens, and Kim Basinger as an alien. It should also be noted that the opening credits is set to a bizarro cover of Prince’s “Kiss” as sung by Tom Jones. Because nothing in this movie makes sense.
Rifftrax and marijuana exist for these kind of movies.
This was my Halloween costume in college except my jacket was just a generic red jacket from Goodwill that was not as cool so everyone thought I was some kind of Asian Michael Jackson from Thriller instead.

Yea it’s a rainy Saturday night and I just watched all 8 parts of this 1989 TBS special on Voyager leaving Neptune’s orbit featuring Carl Sagan and Sidney Poitier (wearing the best leopard print tie might I add). If you aren’t a huge nerd, you might want to skip the beginning and just watch parts 6, 7, and 8 instead. Part 6 Carl talks about the golden record, 7 he gives a speech, and 8 Chuck Berry comes out of nowhere and starts playing “Johnny B. Goode”.
